The year 2023 has been full of struggles for the PGA Tour pro, Billy Horschel. His abysmal start at the Memorial Tournament 2023 broke him completely and made him cry on the field. And it is quite evident that this star player is upset about this because he won last season’s Memorial Tournament, while this season he couldn’t even make the cut in the same tournament. 

His fate lies with the PGA Tour’s next 3M Open now, which also raises the question of whether he can prove his worth there. But amidst all this tension piling up to prove his worth, this PGA Tour pro discloses the secret behind his new uncanny look!

What does Billy Horschel say about his new look?

Billy Horschel has around seven wins on the PGA Tour.  But he has been struggling with his gameplay this season. His wrong putting in the Memorial Tournament landed him a score of 84, which is 12-over par. But against all odds, Billy still has a chance to shine in the 2023 3M Open. 

Now, ahead of the event, Billy had kept a beard as suggested by his girlfriend, and he also considers it his lucky charm. “I don’t plan on shaving it anytime soon. I’m hoping that the game starts to turn around, I start playing well and I’ll keep it. I do like the way I look with a beard a little bit, it does change the way I see myself.”

But despite knowing the beard can turn his luck around in the game, this PGA Tour pro plans on cutting it down. When the matter was investigated, it was known that he would do it for Ralph Lauren if he had a shoot with them.“But I guess the only time I would know I would have to shave it is if maybe a Ralph Lauren photo shoot that I have to do in the fall”.

He further said, “I don’t think the beard — not that they would be against it, but I’ve just never done a photo shoot with them with a beard, so I would shave it for them if that’s something they want to do”

While the previous year’s winner had a masterclass win in the 2022 Memorial Tournament, with a score of 13 under. But this year, his luck didn’t favor him, and he couldn’t even make the cut. His 12-over score and plenty of bogeys landed his score at 84 and brought doom to this bright player.
