The event is all set to take place in a qualifying tournament for the regional events. The event will take place at Koasati Pines at Coushatta (Kinder, LA)
Playing at the event comes with a cost. The event has a registration fee of $99 and in the age bracket of 14- 15 close to 40 children have registered so far. Hence Charlie will be going up against 40 kids who have similar credentials to him.
Koasati Pines was the venue for the event last year as well. The golf course was where Woods caddied for his son who had an amazing one-over-par round. Koasati Pines is situated in the wilderness of the natural wetlands of Southwest Louisiana.
The course is said to be very challenging with tall trees around it making play difficult for the golfers but it is nonetheless a beautiful 18-hole course and is admired all over the US. The place was ranked the 18th best golf course in America.
The driving distance of the young prodigy
Charlie Woods who is a young golf sensation had a driving distance of about 200 yards at the 2020 PNC Championship. However, he has experienced a growth spurt since then suggesting he can now hit the ball even farther, possibly reaching around 220 yards. This would give him a considerable advantage over his counterparts at the event in Koasati Pines.
