The criticism of Jay Monahan in the golf world does not stop. Well, how will they? He’s bringing about changes in things not required, instead of focusing on important things. Remember when the fans called for Jay Monahan to resign in October when new changes were introduced for the 2026 PGA Tour season? Looks like it still has not stopped.
In one of the videos shared by NUCLR Golf on their official X account, Jay Monahan was spotted playing golf. Former PGA Tour star, Robert Damron was the one making announcements in the background. He said, “I think he should be working more and not swinging golf clubs”.
While this was meant clearly as a joke from his side, it did not turn out to be very much so. As it turns out, the golf community is still very mad at Monahan. They went in full agreement with Damron and started dropping comments that suggested so. And they were unstoppable. Seeing the gravity of the situation, the 52-year-old PGA Tour professional knew he already was in too much trouble. What he did was retweet the post, and wrote, “I was joking.”

But well, he does not seem to be the only one making such comments. And guess what, the previous accusations were not even withdrawn as a joke.
