Chase Koepka has faced some tough times recently, and he’s not shying away from sharing the struggles he’s been through. After his first round at the International Series India Presented by DLF, where he carded a solid 2-under par, Chase opened up about the past few months. “The past 3-4 months have been difficult, but my family, my fiance supported me. he said during an interview with EssentiallySports’s Aravind Menon.

It’s been a rough patch for the younger Koepka brother, especially after being relegated from LIV Golf following a tough season. He ended up last in the 48-man field, shooting 6-over par, and finished 48th in points with just one point. Out of the 13 events he played, he finished 42nd or lower in nine of them. Even though he pocketed about $1.76 million in prize money, it doesn’t exactly erase the frustration of those losses.

Meanwhile, his brother Brooks was celebrating his second consecutive LIV Golf Jeddah title, so while there were highs for the Koepka family, Chase’s struggles were hard to ignore. But even through the challenges, he’s kept his head up, and as Brooks said in 2023, “I know he’s working hard…I know he’s been trying. We’ve been practicing together quite a bit. Honestly, he’s struggling a little bit. I’ve been there. We’ve all been there. Every golfer has. It’s part of it…You look at it, he was playing mini-tour golf 16 months ago. I don’t think the last year and a half has been too bad for him.”

For Chase, it’s the support from his family and his fiancée, Michelle Bortolon, that’s been key in helping him keep going. That love and encouragement have kept him pushing through, even when things weren’t going his way.
