Nelly Korda won 7 LPGA Tour titles in 2024! It’s such an unbelievable feat that every time one reads it, they still get surprised. The world no. 1 golfer has smashed all records and dominated her fellow pros all year long. Everyone knows that once Korda gets going, it’s extremely difficult to stop her.

The world of golf saw a glimpse of that from January to April 2024, when the 26-year-old won 5 titles in a row. After her win at the Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican back in November, she was also awarded the Rolex Player of the Year for the 2024 season.

As overwhelming as Nelly Korda’s dominance was throughout the year, she was not the only LPGA Tour pro who made the headlines. Let’s take a look at 3 other top golfers who had a brilliant season as well.

Lydia Ko

Her achievements may have been overshadowed by the success Nelly Korda achieved, but by no means did Lydia Ko have a bad season. She had captured 3 LPGA Tour titles including a major win at the 2024 AIG Women’s Open. In fact, 2nd placed pro whom she beat for the title was Nelly Korda. Her dominating performance at the 2024 Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G saw her grab a 5-stroke victory against another fellow LPGA Tour pro who made the headlines this year, Atthaya ‘Jeeno’ Thitikul. She also had 5 other top-10 finishes, making it a total of 8 out of 18 cuts she made this season. Moreover, she was also the 2024 Olympic gold medalist and a Hall of Fame inductee this year. There is no doubt that Lydia Ko has also had a very dominating season this year justifying the media attention she received.

Atthaya Thitikul

Jeeno Thitikul won the biggest single prize money out of any event throughout the year. The 21-year-old star captured the 2024 CME Group Tour Championship which not only helped her rise in the rankings but also pocketed $4 million. While facing the threat of Angel Yin, Lydia Ko, Charley Hull, & Nelly Korda, Thitikul dominated the Tiburón Golf Club with an excellent score of -22-under par 266. She had also won the Dow Championship back in June 2024. Moreover, out of the 15 cuts Thikikul made this year, she only missed out on the top 10 three times. She also broke the official money record won by an LPGA Tour pro in a single season. Thitikul’s excellent performance has helped her end the season at 4 on the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

Ayaka Furue

Ayaka Furue was the 21st-ranked LPGA Tour player on July 8, 2024. Just one week later, she jumped up to no. 8. What was the reason behind it? Of course, her amazing victory at The Amundi Evian Championship 2024. A tournament well none of the other women in this list were able to make it into the top 25. The closest to her was Nelly Korda, who ended the tournament at T26 with 15 strokes more than Furue. While that was her only victory this season, she has also been incredibly consistent with 12 top-10 finishes. She currently sits at 9th on the world rankings leaderboard and is ready to kick off the 2025 season to win many more trophies. Still only 24 years old, Ayaka Furue still has a long career ahead of her to replace Korda at the top of the table.

Amy Yang and Yuka Saso also deserve honorable mentions for winning a major each in 2024. Every LPGA Tour pro on this list deserved to be in the headlines for their splendid performances throughout the 2024 season. As these pros take a break away from professional golf, there is no doubt that fans will get to see them dominate the courses next year as well.
