Lexi Thompson may have missed the cut at the Shriners Children’s Open, but she most certainly left her mark there. The LPGA golfer made her debut on the PGA tour through this event. She is only the 7th woman to ever have played with the PGA Tour pros, so it was a historical feat in itself.

The LPGA golfer played some excellent golf, even though she ended up missing the cut. She was praised by many PGA Tour pros, including a certain golfer, who had the honor of playing 18 holes with her and witnessing the great Solheim Cup star in action.

A tweet from Michael S. Kim was posted on Twitter that praised Lexi Thompson and her performance at the PGA Tour event. He called her an “awesome golfer” and recounted how it has been a while since he played with a good LPGA Tour pro.

Praising her further, he made a 5-word admission “she hits it really nice” and further adding to it said, “I didn’t see a single bad chip. (She hits it about 20 yards shorter for those wondering).”

Her long drives too were something he praised. Thompson made 5 birdies and carded a round of 2-under-par. She missed the historic opportunity and her cut by 3 strokes, which was a result of 2 bogies she made on the back 9.

She said she had an amazing time on the PGA tour with fans including children coming out to cheer her. Her parents were also present to support her. She also found the PGA tour professionals to be extremely welcoming.
