Is Paige Spiranac's podcast absence a sign of bigger changes in her career?

There are plenty of people who know how to make their presence felt in a room, but it’s a rare few who can make their absence felt. Speaking of which, Paige Spiranac’s long absence from her podcast, ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee’ hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Her last episode, Year End Recap & 2024 Goals was released on December 28, 2023. However, after that, things went quiet. Despite staying active on her social media platforms, there was no mention of the podcast—until recently.

When the golf queen took to her Instagram stories for a casual Q&A session, fans wasted no time getting to the question on everyone’s mind: “Will your podcast come back?” It echoed the thoughts of millions who had been eagerly awaiting the return of Playing A Round. And Spiranac’s response? Well, it was positive, and exactly what they hoped to hear. She affirmed with 8 words; “podcast will definitely be back at some point.”

You see, the golf diva has been keeping busy. “In the last year, I made a ton of business changes, restructured, and there is a longer story as to why it all happened.” A longer version of the story is something we will get to know in the podcast. But 2024 has been a blissful year on the professional front. With her stunning presence and bold personality, Spiranac has solidified her place in the male-dominated sports industry. Spiranac mentioned, “2024 has been my favorite year yet and the happiest I have ever been, both personally and professionally.” She noted that her expectations have shifted from years past, and she has successfully met them.

Paige Spiranac beyond her podcast channel

This year, she took a bold step by joining the subscription platform Passes. Here, she aims to build a more personal connection with her fans, offering exclusive content like never-before-seen photos and videos, livestreams, and even the chance for fans to chat with her directly. “I had a subscription site before, and I was looking for more,” she told Fox News. “I just felt like it could have been much better from a user experience.”

Have an interesting take?

Apart from this, Spiranac has also returned to play in a tournament. She competed in the Creators Classic this year, which took place at the East Lake Golf Club, where she finished the event with a score of 2 over. Playing somewhat professionally again would have been overwhelming for her since her actual experience as a professional golfer was not as good. “I was already dealing with years of trying hard and coming short. I just broke. I honestly cracked. I said, ‘Maybe I’ll go back,’ and I’ve never gone back to try and play golf professionally again,” once said Spiranac about her professional experience.
