After Making Extremely Bold Claims, LIV Golf Defector Phil Mickelson Gets Served a Reality Check From Renowned Author

In recent months, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding Phil Mickelson and his transfer to LIV Golf. But the fire that was engulfing his switch is still burning. The fallout from his decision has put the whole golf industry on edge.

Mickelson recently conducted an interview that went viral. The professional golfer refuted an alleged earlier statement in the aforementioned interview with Alan Shipnuck. His comments on the subject were widely shared. The interviewer, Alan Shipnuck, however, has recently replied to Phil’s new view on the issue at hand.

Recently, Phil Mickelson was seen changing his statement about his interview with Alan Shipnuck. However, Alan decided not to hold back this time and replied to Mickelson’s denial of the situation in his signature Shipnuck Fashion

Alan served Mickelson a reality check. He tweeted in response to Mickelson and his obvious denial of the interview held with the Shipnuck in February.

Alan wrote, “A funny footnote to my interview with Phil: I was driving home from the Wishbone Brawl when he called. Kids had come with me to O’side. I pulled over and made a teen drive so I could focus on the interview. Later learned one kid Snapchat’d this to a friend during the interview.”

He tried to prove his point with yet another “evidence” of sorts. This time he said that the evidence was a snap sent by one of his kids about his interaction with Phil. Professional or not, the tweet did make rounds and made people wonder what the truth behind the situation actually is.

Mickelson made a controversial statement that drove Twitterati wild

When it comes to significant concerns affecting him or the golf industry as a whole, Mickelson is not one to keep quiet. The professional golfer is known for voicing his ideas with confidence. He was criticized, meanwhile, for reportedly retracting one of his statements from a few months back.

Before he joined LIV Golf, the league financed by the Saudis, Phil Mickelson had issued a statement critical of the Saudis. A few months after the aforementioned incident, Mickelson revised his story, claiming that the interview where he admitted to it was off record.

However, Mickelson was questioned why he made the  statement in concern against the Saudis. However, he categorically denied it. This greatly stoked a debate among Twitter users.
