The golfers have been a part of the development and supporting groups facing the harsh wildfires. Earlier, during the Sentry 2025, Rickie Fowler, along with many other partners, helped the Maui community through donations supported in recovering from the huge loss of wildfire. Now, with the Los Angeles incident, Justin Thomas has joined the golf world at the Genesis Invitational.

It was Kai Trump who first funded donations before the 15-time PGA Tour winner. The granddaughter of Donald Trump is considered a young golf prodigy. She even hit shots with Rory McIlroy! Besides her great experience of learning from world no. 3, she is promoting the donation and has shared it through her social media.

After Kai Trump, Justin Thomas has also stepped up with his contribution to relief funds. Thomas has been a generous and kind-hearted golfer. With the recent encounter, he has always found applause for his gesture. Earlier at the WM Phoenix Open, the golfer was seen walking and sharing the course with Lulu Gribbin, a 16-year-old shark attack survivor.

Now with the next event on the calendar, even though he is not part of the player’s roster, he has shared about the contribution through social media. He posted on Instagram writing, “Together with my friends from @OneLineage, we are donating $50,000 to support World Central Kitchen and their continued efforts in Los Angeles.”

Further in the post, he mentions the cause of the course switch and praises the fans in California for their great welcome every year. With the generous donation partnering with One Lineage, the golfer has again proved his kind heart and consideration for the community. Even the golfers at the event will be contributing to the cause with the new initiative.

‘Birdies for Good’ with Justin Thomas’ wildfire relief support

“The tournament’s contributions are estimated to be more than $8 million,”  read Kai Trump‘s post. The Genesis, the PGA Tour, and TGR Live have introduced “Birdies For Good” on Tuesday, February 11. So, the rule is, each birdie recorded at the event will donate $300, and for each hole-in-one, $10,000 will be contributed. Among others, Collin Morikawa, and Sahith Theegala are contributing too. Morikawa will donate $1,000 per birdie and $2,000 per eagle, while Theegala will donate $100 for each birdie and $250 for each eagle recorded at the event.

“We all want to help after the devastating wildfires. Southern California is our home and the location of our North American headquarters and design studio,” said Jose Munoz, president and global chief executive officer, Genesis.

It is quite wholesome to have one community support another. When it comes to natural disasters, Justin Thomas has been a prominent face from golf. He has previously partnered with Convoy of Hope multiple times, donating $1,000 for every birdie and $5,000 for each eagle to aid Hurricane Florence victims in 2018.

Now, with the golf world uniting for a great cause in the coming days, huge help can be offered to the victims and recovery from wildfire. Send your prayers to citizens affected in the area in the comments below.
