The LPGA 2023 season has come to an end with the CME Group Tour Championship and one of its star players was missing from the field. Jessica Korda could not participate in the event owing to her pregnancy. 

However, she took part in whatever small way she could. Korda was a part of the ESPN special team for the live coverage of the event. After interviewing her fellow LPGA golfers. Korda now seemed to enjoy her off time alongside them.

Jessica Korda has been off the golf course for the past six months. The oldest Korda sister played only 5 events for the LPGA Tour in 2023. She withdrew from her last event, the Cognizant Founders Cup, in early May. In the preceding days of June, Korda announced her indefinite hiatus from golf owing to her serious back injury.

Moreover, just after two and a half months, the 30-year-old greeted the world with happy news. Korda announced on her Instagram as she prepared to become a mother. As evident, Korda is now on break enjoying her pregnancy. However, she included herself in the LPGA season-ending event.

Korda was seen interviewing different players and even her sister as she graced the greens to become the voice of the LPGA Tour. As the season ended, the LPGA’s voice has taken up all her golfer friends and celebrated her baby shower. A recent Instagram update by Alison Lee shows Megan Khang, the world no.6 Nelly Korda, and herself joining Korda in her celebration as they pointed towards Jessica Korda’s belly.

The oldest of the Korda family is 7 months pregnant and nearing the completion of pregnancy. Korda has been updating her fans throughout the hiatus period with various photos and videos. Recently, the American golfer posted how she has decided to stay connected to golf, especially the Grant Thornton Invitational in December.

The grandiose PGA and LPGA event

The Grant Thornton Invitational will have golfers from the PGA and LPGA Tour paired up. Jessica Korda was announced to be the partner of 6 time PGA Tour champion, Rickie Fowler. Later, his partner changed to 1x major winner Lexi Thompson.

The Invitational is the newest mixed event which will start on December 4th. The 32 players will be paired playing at the Tiburón Golf Club and the Ritz-Carlton, Naples. The 16 teams will play for the $4 million prize purse for the first time.
