After her baby's health scare, is Cheyenne Woods set for a major comeback in the LPGA?

We all know being a mom can be tough, but Cheyenne Woods makes it look effortless! Tiger Woods’s niece is a talented golfer but she is away from the greens as of now and is a mom, so it’s clear that she has a lot on her plate. But since having her two little munchkins, Cameron and Maya, her life has changed in the best way possible. Family means everything to her, and she’s always there for them.

Of course, motherhood isn’t always easy; there are always a few ups and downs, and Cheyenne has faced a fair share of them. Her younger one was making use of a feeding tube to better supplement her body with much-needed nutrition for development at 4 months old. After the last update on the betterment of her second child’s health, she recently gave a new update on their life, and it’s not what you think!

In a heartwarming video that she uploaded on her Instagram, fans could see how well the golfer is doing in her life after Maya’s surgery due to severe reflux and laryngomalacia. Cheyenne Woods was seen smiling ear to ear and giving the fans a glimpse into her present life, and her family is trying to incorporate golf into their daily lives. “I’m now a wife and a busy mom, but I still love golf,”  she said in the video.

“It’s been a while… Things look a little different than a couple of years ago,”  read the caption, and indeed they did. But the fans were excited to see that the golfer is now ready to get more involved in the sport.

After her daughter Maya’s health struggles, things are finally changing for the better for Cheyenne. Maya’s disease led to surgery, and she had to use a feeding tube. As her mother, Cheyenne felt overwhelmed, scared, and helpless, to the point where she feared leaving the house. So the fans in the comments were nothing but supportive of the golfer.

“Happy for your chapter in life! Nothing more special than family and golf !!!” said one fan. Being a mom comes with a lot of duties, and who knows this better than Cheyenne Woods, but her priorities have shifted over the years. Despite still enjoying the game and watching golf more than ever, her focus has turned to her family. However, the fans were happy to see that the golfer was trying to incorporate the sport more into her life.

“Your family is beautiful 😊” said one fan, while another fan said, “Congratulations on your sweet young family”. Other than Maya, the golfer has one more kid named Cameron Jaxson Hicks with husband Aaron Hicks. Born in 2022 Cameron is only one year older than Maya.  So, it was fair for the golfer to make the decision not to compete in the professional tour after the 2021 Portland Classic. However, fans were just happy to have a glimpses in the golfer’s life every now and then. “Thanks for sharing your family with us”, said one fan.

While a lot of fans were congratulating the family, one fan was wondering if the golfer would come back to the greens. “We miss watching you play!”, said the fan, and while the fans do miss having their favorite golfer Cheyenne Woods showcasing her exceptional skills on the greens, it is safe to say that the golfer is not returning to professional golf anytime soon. Cheyenne Woods opened up about how she had changed in recent years and said, “After traveling so much by myself on the road away from family, what I truly valued most then was waking up and making my son breakfast, even the late-night feeds with my daughter.” 

But no need to get bummed. While she may not be on the course as much, she continues to share her journey as a mother on Instagram.
