After the signing of the famous merger in the middle of this year, the PGA Tour announced that LIV loyalists could also try to qualify for the Ryder Cup. Brooks Koepka eventually found a place on Zach Johnson’s Ryder Cup team as a wild-card pick but another LIV golfer Phil Mickelson couldn’t make it to the team.
Now the question arises: is six-time major winner Mickelson still richer than Brooksie, despite the massive setback? Let’s find out the answer to this puzzle.

Brooks Koepka vs Phil Mickelson: 2023 Net Worth Comparison
Taking a look at this year’s performances, Brooks Koepka has had his fair share of wins. He marked his expertise on the greens with a major triumph at the PGA Championship. Koepka showed a stellar performance and finished the tournament with scores of 72-66-66-67. Also in the preceding Masters Tournament, he stood at T2. Even in LIV Golf, he had one win and four top-ten finishes.
In contrast to this, Phil Mickelson has had an average year in golf so far, with missed cuts in two majors. He has not done great in LIV Golf either. It appears a right call by Johnson not to include him in the Ryder Cup team. On the other hand, Koepka captured the attention of the US captain with his performances and was selected for the famous event.
Clearly, Mickelson has had a bad season by his high standards. But does that also reflect in his earnings? Has Koepka made massive strides in the money race?

Mickelson’s net worth has been estimated at $800m. By his own admission, he is not far from becoming a billionaire. At present, only Tiger Woods is a golf billionaire. Out of this whopping money, Mickelson has earned around $96 million as the prize money from different tournaments.
Brooks Koepka, on the other hand, has a net worth of $72 million, the majority of which comes from his LIV connection. At the time of joining the Saudi league, it was reported that he got $50 million as a signing amount. So it is clear now that Lefty is still richer than the 33-year-old Koepka — richer by many miles, if truth be told. A report by Daily Star has revealed that Lefty is so rich that he can afford the famous Mona Lisa painting. Whoa!

Brooks Koepka though still has a stage to establish his legacy at the upcoming Ryder Cup. Ahead of the prestigious competition, the five-time major winner came up with a profound confession about a vital lifestyle alteration.
Brooks Koepka wearing a mullet at Ryder Cup!
A few days ago in a press conference, Brooksie was asked if he was planning on sporting a mullet cut. In answer to that, the golfer responded in an uncertain way. He said, “I do. I’ve been growing it out. I’m trying to figure out what I might do with it. My barber is coming in on Thursday. So I’ll leave it up to him.”
