The dad talked about how there is a public golf course near his home and a season’s pass which allows him to play as much as he likes. While being unable to golf during the day, he came up with an idea which he posed as a question at the start of the discussion. He further went on to ask, “Would it be incredibly unethical to buy night vision optics and play at night between the hours of 11pm-2am regularly with high quality night vision optics?

With golf products as costly as they come, the golfing parent is all set to play his own version of ‘Call of Duty’ with a twist, as he would be looking for golf balls with his $40,000 night vision goggles!

Reddit community reacts to the golf enthusiast’s question!

While the post went viral on Reddit, it drew in a bunch of responses from both golfing enthusiasts and techies in the community. It ranged from people being extremely helpful by recommending goggles, to amazingly witty responses where he was asked to use the money for something else! Let us take a look at some of the comments left under the post:

There were users who genuinely wanted to help the troubled dad out as they commented, “I have experience using both monocular and binocular military night vision. It would be incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to golf with either. Your best bet would probably be Panoramic night vision goggles (PNVG). If you got $40k+ to burn, give it a try and let us know how it goes.

There were some who gave him some wild ideas to track the ball, “I think the best bet is an RFID chip in the ball. Then get something to track it. Hit the ball and then go to the ball via the tracker. Wild idea though but I’m here for it.”

Some people commented sarcastically in a bid to mock his extreme nature, “Could also buy one of those big long rectangle rifle bags for the clubs for maximum tactical prowess on the course to go with the PNVG.

There were people who hilariously gave another solution to his problem, “His best bet would probably be the glowing balls tbh.
