As far as the history of LPGA Tour pros is concerned, baggage loss by airlines is not a new issue. And sometimes, with their clothing, expensive golf equipment also gets lost. Such misplacement hazards were also encountered by Alison Lee last week. And now, the latest victim of this ordeal is the one-time major champion, Danielle Kang, who was subjected to the same mishap.
The California-based golfer was already bearing a lot given her early exit from the Amundi Evian Championship, and this recent luggage misadventure only added to her series of misfortunes over the past month. As we already know, she previously took to social media to showcase her defiance. But the inquiry for her lost belongings just didn’t stop with one post!

Kang carried a dismal experience from the Evian Resort Club Course. She had scores of 73 and 79 at the end of rounds one and two of the Amundi Evian Championship and quite evidently missed the cut.
But along with this, another problem headed her way and that is she lost her baggage while traveling with British Airlines.
Dear @British_Airways Please help locate my bag. Bag tag BA602969 from CDG to LHR. it took us 2.5hrs to even make a claim… and no one seems to know where it is. It’s filed missing. Not delayed, missing..

Now, as a way to find her luggage, she applied every possible way, and one such was calling out British Airlines on Twitter yesterday, saying, “ Dear @British_Airways Please help locate my bag. Bag tag BA602969 from CDG to LHR. it took us 2.5hrs to even make a claim… and no one seems to know where it is. It’s filed missing. Not delayed, missing..” requesting the airlines to resolve the problem and locate her luggage as soon as possible. And in reply to this, British Airlines asked for additional information from her.
Hi @British_Airways any updates… should I fly back to Paris? Would that help? -Danielle

Hi Danielle, we have contacted our baggage team and I'm afraid they've advised they are still looking. We have set a reminder to check for an update this afternoon again. Demi.

Now, today the helpless golfer again posted on Twitter, tagging British Airlines and in that post she said, “Hi @British_Airways any updates… should I fly back to Paris? Would that help? -Danielle”, enquiring about any possible updates. And in reply to this British Airlines replied, “Hi Danielle, we have contacted our baggage team and I’m afraid they’ve advised they are still looking. We have set a reminder to check for an update this afternoon again. Demi.”

LPGA baggage mishaps in the past
Alison Lee lost her luggage before the Amundi Evian Championship and had to borrow someone else’s for the first round of the major. Additionally, her baggage was stuck in Detroit for 40 hours, and she was waiting for her wardrobe to arrive fast. Something similar occurred to Jessica Korda as well last year, when her duffle bag got lost in transit and she had to borrow trousers from her fellows for the AIG Women’s British Open.
Thus, this seems to be a persistent problem that is not likely to get resolved anytime soon.
