With the LPGA Tour ending its 2023 season, golfers are now using their off time to do what they love. And for those whose first and last love is the sport, they are spending their time traveling around the world while playing for different leagues. One big name also doing so is Jenny Shin, who, after her stint in the LPGA,is now heading to Australia to golf some more.
Landing in the OZ, Shin took a lengthy flight, and even after enduring it, she was not as tired as she expected. Was that cup-after-cup of coffee that she drank? Or was it her immense excitement to compete once more? Well, the fans certainly had an opinion on it!

The LPGA star is not resting after last week’s T46 at the CME Group Tour Championship. Making her appearance at the mixed event, the ISPS Handa Australian Open in Sydney, Shin will be joined by many notable golfers, both men and women.
The South Korean golfer announced her arrival at the Land Down Under via her X profile. From America to Australia, Shin endured the long 14.5-hour flight while chugging five cups of coffee in seventeen hours, a probable personal record of hers.
While the hours look daunting for a normal person, it was not much so for the 1x LPGA winner. Her excitement at the coming event possibly subdued the dull flight. Moreover, she was delighted both for her upcoming game and for the “unreal” Australian coffee!
Landed in Sydney Aus. That 14.5hr flight went by pretty quickly. Maybe because I was anticipating this trip so much.
Man I’m happy to be here. I don’t know what it is but the coffee is just unreal. #my5thcupinthelast17hours— Jenny Shin (@JennyShin_LPGA) November 24, 2023
The Aussie fans were just as excited as Shin herself to see the star thrilled to be playing in their country and complimenting their popular coffee. They graciously welcomed the LPGA pro while wishing her the best for her play at the ISPS HANDA Australian Open.
