Tiger Woods’ father Earl Woods played a massive role in the golf legend’s career. Earl was a strict disciplinarian and instilled that quality into Tiger from a very young age. 82 PGA Tour and 15 major wins can be safely attributed to the solid training by his father who left no stone unturned.
The two shared a great equation. Earl Woods sadly died in 2006 but he lives in Tiger’s memory forever. This special announcement by the golfing great on Friday suggests how much he loves and misses his “Pops”.

Woods is a shy person and rarely posts anything on his Instagram handle. But today is a different day as the golfer shared a post and announced the opening of PopStroke — dedicated to the memory of his father — at a new location in Scottsdale. PopStroke is a chain of experiential golf and casual dining venues backed by Tiger Woods and TaylorMade.
It is one of 13 new Popstroke locations which are opening in 2023 and 2024. The venue is located at the Pavilions at Talking Stick on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Reservation near Scottsdale. This is the franchise’s eighth location across America and second in Arizona. These places bring a taste of technology to golf. The new course in Scottsdale will feature 18-hole putting courses with synthetic turf.
It has similar features to other locations where the players can keep score in their PopStroke app. The jumbotrons around the venue will also be displaying in-game scores. The venue features two courses, a black one which is easy, and a red one which is more challenging. Woods shared a series of pics on the new venue and wrote in the caption: “I’m excited to share that a new PopStroke location has opened today in Scottsdale, Arizona. Bring your friends and family to The Pavilions at Talking Stick and go check it out!”

The PopStroke courses value entertainment just as much as the game. To make the participants’ experience more memorable, they will be allowed to take home the TaylorMade ball given to them for playing.

Woods gives fans a chance to create happy memories while golfing
On Thursday, Tiger’s niece Cheyenne Woods shared exclusive pics of the inside of the club with her son Cameron. In the background, there was a board bearing a message on behalf of Tiger Woods: “Some of my happiest memories are of spending time with my pops on the golf course having putting contests. I am excited to welcome you to the TGR design courses at PopStroke.”
Praising its features, CEO and founder of PopStroke Greg Bartoli said: “The great thing about putting specifically within golf entertainment is that it connects and resonates with everybody regardless of your age or your skill level or your background.”
