After Conquering the Glorious Senior Open, Alex Cojka Divulges His Most ‘Brutal’ Competitor, and It’s Not the Revered 3X Major Champion

He came out victorious over the ferocious climate; one that proved to be a bigger challenge than his competitor, Harrington. Voicing something similar, Alex Cejka said, “They (playing conditions) were brutal the last two days“. The golf professional expressed that the weather was quite wet, given the grip on the club in hand.

Moreover, the crosswinds were gusting at a speed of 40 mile-an-hour which did not make hitting the golf ball any easier. Thus, it was understandable for the German athlete to divulge that he was glad the tournament was over. More than that, Cejka was pleased to take the eminent cup home. Interestingly, the Senior Open hasn’t been the sole event to face such brutal situations. Other tournaments across golf dynamics have faced the brunt of mercurial season.

Harsh weather conditions — the incessant enemy of the golf world

While the seven months of 2023 have witnessed exceptional levels of gameplay, there has been a consistent rebellion from nature’s side. From golfers to the courses, all have been affected by the horrifying conditions encountered, especially on the European front.
