The LPGA Tour is all set to have an iconic and historical 2024 season. The women’s tour has recently made some significant announcements that will affect it for the better. The first was a two-year partnership with Disney’s ESPN. The tour also revealed an amped-up prize pool for 2024.
From the start of the 2024 season, more and more events will raise their prize purse. The CME Group Tour Championship will have a $4 million increase from this year. What’s more, the collective pool has strengthened substantially.
LPGA Tour steps up for 2024 season

The LPGA Tour has made historic announcements one after another. After declaring their partnership with sports channel ESPN, the women’s tour has now stunned the golf world with the newest prize pool for the coming year.
The 2024 season will see 35 events, with three unofficial ones. The best part is that the total prize purse of all events has increased by 69% from 2021. The collective prize pool of the 2024 season will be $118 million while $116.55 is for the official tournaments.
Mollie Marcoux, LPGA Commissioner said, “With new events and improved geographic flow, enhancing the athlete experience, our global reach and competitiveness have never been stronger. As we embark on this season, we celebrate the remarkable journey of women’s golf, anticipating thrilling competition and unforgettable moments for fans worldwide.”
The tour will feature 15 states from the USA, and then move to 10 different countries. The golfers will have a chance to tee it off from their home soil. The CME Group Tour Championship saw the largest rise in prize money, going from $7 million to $11 million. Subsequently, more events have increased their prize pool, as per the LPGA Tour.

There are nine events that have confirmed the raised prize pool in women’s golf. Additionally, the prize money is expected to change for various other events as well when the 2024 season starts. The nine out of 33 events are listed below:
