It is a widely known fact that golf is a tricky sport. While some golfers make it to the pinnacle, others don’t. However, what’s scarier is to have achieved your goal briefly before it all goes away.  Once you have climbed the ladder of success, a fall from far above surely hits hard. Personally, that’s where motivation comes from. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to start building from scratch and put every ounce of your strength and hard work to achieve greater heights once again.

This was exactly the case with a LIV Golf pro, which took a sharp start in 2022 when he got the chance to play in LIV Golf’s inaugural season before dipping right back in the same year when he failed to make the cut. However, what stands out the most about him is his willingness to never give up. This was evident in his recent major career breakthrough, that had everyone open-mouthed. Let’s dive in!

The 25-year-old American professional has surely not had his career served to him on a silver platter. His journey has involved a lot of ups and downs. The inaugural LIV season was no short of a nightmare for Ogletree, as he was cut out of the roster after his first play and was left out for the entire season. However, as it appears, Andy Ogletree surely lives by the never-give-up attitude.

He gave proof of his optimistic means in 2023 as he went on to achieve multiple victories across the world. His stint at the Asian Tour is nothing short of a miracle. Ogletree secured his third win at the Asian Tour’s International Series recently. This recent win and his gritty attitude have made LIV Golf declare him their newest member on the roster for their upcoming 2024 season.

Andy Ogletree said, “I can’t wait, you know, getting a taste of it early on in the first tournament, I kind of thought going into LIV London that it wouldn’t be my only event last year and I would play at least the first half of the season, and then once all the PGA Tour guys came I might get kicked out. But, yeah, I played so bad that that wasn’t the case. So, to earn my way back is super rewarding and I’m hoping to just take care of business the rest of the year and be over there full time next year.”

Ogletree’s account in his recent interview on a podcast is another exemplification of his perseverance and positivity. He also briefly mentioned how he was initially apprehensive about how things in the golf world would look post the highly anticipated LIV Golf-PGA Tour merger, adding him to the list of players deeply uncertain about golf’s future. However, so far, Andy Ogletree’s future seems to be bright for the upcoming year.
