Thomas cleared out any possibilities of having COVID after confirming he got a negative test result. On the grounds that it was just heat exhaustion, JT decided to get some rest and replenish his body with proper hydration. He showed the results on his WHOOP app and mentioned the difference.
“Knowing what goes into my body that can help, and how insanely important rest and sleep are,” Thomas continued. “Because of wearing my whoop over the years I know what things work for me and what doesn’t. Regardless of how you “feel”, hydration and sleep are ALWAYS the best performance enhancer anybody can use.”
What is WHOOP?
A fitness tracking wearable brand since 2011, WHOOP provides holistic data and in-depth analysis, which is the need of the hour for athletes. Golf pros have started taking notice too, with a range of players partnering with the brand.

Notably, the tracker can also detect COVID-19 before the symptoms kick in, as was evident when PGA Tour golfer, Nick Watney, discovered mid-tournament at the RBC Heritage that he had COVID, despite a negative result before the contest began.
Seeing the popularity and success of the brand, the PGA Tour announced a multi-year partnership naming WHOOP as the Official Fitness Wearable of the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions and a sponsor of PGA TOUR Active. This collaboration will also provide exclusive content with professional golfers talking about the brand. Recently, Justin Thomas was seen in a promotional videos series with Michael Phelps, which was sponsored by WHOOP.
