According to The Straits Times, some of the biggest golfers in the world, like Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, and Dustin Johnson, would be visiting Singapore for the event scheduled in late April.
This comes from the multi-year contract signed between the LIV Golf and Sentosa Golf Course of Singapore. The deal will run for six years until 2028, wherein Sentosa will organize a spectacular LIV event on an annual basis.
The upcoming fifth event of the Saudi-funded league is scheduled to be taking place at the award-winning Serapong Course. The event will start on 28th April and end on 30th April.
This deal probably goes to show that LIV Golf is here to stay for the long run and has a firm future planned in mind. In response to the deal, Sentosa GC Manager commented, “Having LIV at Sentosa is an exciting development for the golf ecosystem in Singapore and Asia as it brings some of the world’s best golfers to our country to compete on our world-class golf course.”

The Sentosa Course is considered to be one of the best golf courses in Asia. It is known for its rapid, demanding putting surfaces, undulating terrain, and distinctive holes. In the past, Sentosa hosted the DP World Tour and the Singapore Classic tournaments in February, as well as the HSBC Women’s World Championship of the LPGA Tour in March.
Sergio Garcia is one of the LIV Golf defectors who won at Sentosa back in 2018. The victory came to him as a reigning Masters Champion. Expressing his fondness for the Sentosa Golf Course to Golf Matters, Garcia said, “I’m really excited to come back to Singapore and Sentosa, it’s a great golf course. I won there a few years ago, and I think everyone is going to love it. It’s the kind of course that you have to drive the ball well, it’s as simple as that. If my teammates drive the ball well, which all of them do, we should have a good chance at the tournament there.”
