Notwithstanding the physical impediments, John Daly has a new accolade to flaunt
John Daly has an evergreen happy face to showcase. But behind this face, lie the woes of health obstacles the golfer has been through in his life. Disclaimer: The list is quite long.
He had been diagnosed with severe bladder cancer back in 2020, and that led to a literal health threat. To cure the situation, the ailing Daly had to stay in rehabilitation for a brief period of time and away from golf. Then, two years later, he had a full knee replacement. Last December, he again announced another knee replacement surgery.
But keeping all the odds aside, this 19-time professional winner has added new laurels to his career look-book. He recently posted a story on Instagram. In the post, Daly is seen with Steve Stricker. The post also said, “Your 2023 Seiko Sunset Skins Champions”

Thus, it can be understood that Daly has jointly won the Pro-Am match along with Stricker and is now buckling up for the final showdown at Sanford International, taking place at Minnehaha Country Club.

From cocktails to music: John Daly shares a wide range of interests.
Other than golf, Daly is recognized for his avid interest in alcohol. He even partnered with a vodka brand called Goodboy vodka, and they have launched four flavors of John Daly cocktails. The flavors include- Peach Iced tea & lemonade, Blackberry iced tea & lemonade, Iced tea & lemonade, and Raspberry iced tea & lemonade.
Now, as far as his contribution to music is concerned, he is a rock music maniac with Bob Dylan being his favorite. The two-time major winner covered ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ more times than Dylan listened to his own song. He even released two albums, the first being ‘My Life’ in 2002, and then again he issued another ‘ I Only Know One Way’ in 2010.
