The excitement stirred in the golf world was off the charts when Tiger Woods announced the introduction of his brand, Sun Day Red, after his split with Nike. Sadly, things went downhill pretty quickly. Upon the brand’s unveiling, the golfer’s brand was regarded as a flop. Turns out, people found the brand, and logo underwhelming, and continue to do so!

The golfer donned the Sun Day Red attire for his Augusta visit, and needless to say, fans responded poorly to it. Golf fans found Woods’s first-day attire to be in bad taste. Even when the official images of the apparel line landed on Getty, it was remarked “This stuff is ugly.” Even Charlie Woods was spotted wearing Nike shoes instead of his father’s brand, which led to people speculating if all of it would fail! Even the golfer’s son himself was not wearing it. But is it going to fail? Well, as per the recent revelations, and how fans are reacting, it might!

Recently, @TWLEGION posted on X, disclosing the prices of ball markers, T-shirts, hats, and more. The launched clothing items were devoid of any logos. The post also addressed pricing, indicating that the pricing was not surprising as the brand was pitched in as a luxury brand in comparison to other luxury golf brands. On the launch day, the collection was deprived of the designs that Woods has donned so far, and it also led to disappointment amongst the fans. It sure “will be interesting to see how it evolves over time”

While “Sun Day Red” was already anticipated to be a premium line with a high-end price tag, the actual prices surprised many. It led to numerous fans expressing their lack of interest in the brand.

Furious reactions from fans directed at Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red

One fan put it bluntly, and said, “I love Tiger, but what in gods holy name are these prices?” Woods is one of the greatest golfers to hit the ball on the course with 82 Tour wins and 15 major championships, and surely has a huge fan base. Fans love him, but still, the prices of the products were found to be atrocious.

Expressing their disappointment, one fan commented, “God man does Tiger think we are all rich. Sad unfortunately” With $1.1 billion to his name in January 2024, Woods is the richest golfer out there. One would think that the golfer may perceive these prices to be affordable, but as the fans relayed, they are not!

Another fan echoed similar sentiments, remarking, “Insanely overpriced & disappointing.” Sun Day Red clothing fell short of the standards expected by the community, especially designs. Now, with the high prices, fans seem hesitant and disappointed.

“And he goes on tv wearing a sundayred blue sweater/hoodie and that item is not even on sale. Wtf?” said another fan. Woods has been seen wearing a lot of his brand’s clothes on the greens, and off the greens as well. He wore his collection at the Genesis, and Masters, and, the designs that he wore, are not up for sale yet.

Another golf fan remarked, “$70 for a basic T shirt with just the Tiger logo on it. Absolutely insane no thanks.” The essence of the brand’s logo and design is very simple. It just consists of a tiger, and fans do not think it is viable to pay such hefty prices for a simple piece of clothing.

With the pricing and absence of logos on the items, it seems there aren’t many willing to consider it anymore. What are your thoughts on the Sun Day Red? Are you planning to purchase anything for yourself?
