The Solheim Cup is one of the most sought-after events in women’s golf. The biennial game gives the fans a rare chance to unite on a patriotic front as they cheer for their country on an international level. Even fans who can’t catch up on all the LPGA Tournaments make sure that they catch the tournament – if not in person, then at least on TV. However, audiences have been left disappointed this time around.

Fans who couldn’t make it to Spain to catch the event in person were hoping to enjoy it on the TV. But improper coverage of the event has made them furious. Live streaming for the Solheim Cup was available on Peacock and Golf Channel. But there has been much negligence in the event’s broadcasting. During Round One and Round Two on Friday and Saturday respectively, there were many complaints about inconsistencies in the coverage. Taking to the internet, fans have blasted Golf Channel for not doing its proper job.
Calling the shoddy coverage ‘shameful’, they accused the Channel of only showing tee shots from the first hole. Instead of covering the ongoing matches, they were allegedly filling the slot with a host of commercials. Even golfers like Matt Fitzpatrick expressed their dissatisfaction and criticized the key broadcasting network ‘Sky Sports’.
Now joining the list of angry users is the host of PGA Tour Live and ESPN+, Lisa Cornwell. According to Cornwell, only having two on-course reports was a big bummer. In her latest tweet, she wrote, “A lot of talk about the #SolheimCup2023 broadcast — limited graphics, lack of cameras, etc. But having just two on-course reporters is the biggest whiff of them all.”

The already enraged and frustrated golfing community was in full support of Lisa’s criticism of the network for its unprofessional attitude.
Golf community expresses discontent over ‘worst ever’ Solheim coverage
Many fans found this oversight to be an instance of partiality against the Solheim Cup. Aggravated, they expressed that the Ryder Cup gets more value from the media.
This user sarcastically betted that the Ryder Cup will get more coverage than Solheim.
I’ll bet the coverage of the Ryder Cup will have double that. 🤦🏽♂️

Another expressed how disappointing it was to miss all the important shots from key players at such an important event.
It’s very disappointing for sure. Definitely seeing more Euro shots than USA. Vu is 5 up and haven’t seen anything! But next week we’ll see every nose pick and fist pump. 🤣🤬

This fan simply agreed with Lisa’s comment.

Due to the inconsistent display, a user was wondering what was going on in the match many times. Surely, losing track of matches would have been endlessly infuriating.
I was thinking the same. Many times I was wondering where the matches stood.

One emotional fan could not hold back their disappointment as they bashed the organizers and association alike. For them, it was “some of the worst coverage ever”.
Coverage sucked BIG TIME! They weren’t even showing shots that mattered! And Julie is no commentator. The ratings have to one of the worst ever. Couldn’t they find anyone to work ON THE COURSE? Then the LPGA wants to know why they are second tier, some of the worst coverage ever
