Calling him a ‘great friend’, DeChambeau said, “I texted him on his birthday. It is what it is. He has his viewpoints on it and thinks we’re potentially hurting his record.” DeChambeau has been giving all kinds of statements about the PGA Tour ever since he joined LIV Golf. In fact, he even compared the former Tour with a ‘pizza shop’ in one of his interviews. And thus, it’s not shocking for Woods to be ignorant towards the LIV Golf rebel.

Other than his LIV Golf decision, DeChambeau gave Woods another reason to maintain his distance last year. It was at the 2022 Masters when DeChambeau was playing in the group ahead of the golf legend. And according to sources, the LIV Golf defector’s slow game affected Tiger Woods’ efficiency during the tournament. Later, he was heavily scrutinized by the fans over his slow play.

Does DeChambeau miss being on the PGA Tour?

Despite regretting his spoiled relationship with Tiger Woods, DeChambeau seems to be having a great time with LIV Golf. And when asked about what he missed about his time on the PGA Tour, his response was pretty much what was expected. “I miss nothing,” he said. “I mean, I love the fans, I love the people who came to support me…loved all that.”

Well, it’s understandable for the golfer to miss the heavy crowds at the PGA Tour events. And it is no mystery how LIV Golf has hosted certain tournaments with minimum to zero spectators on the field. But the golfer seemed pretty confident about the Saudi league’s future.
