A lot of news has made the headlines in the golf world for the past couple of days. Even so, only a certain story has always managed to turn the heads of many in the community. It’s none other than news regarding the legendary Tiger Woods and his comeback into the game.
Many are expecting the professional to make a return by the start of his tech-infused league TGL in 2024. But a recent update by a reporter has managed to pique the interests of many as it hinted at a comeback much earlier than next year, surprising and astonishing many in the process!

The 15X major winner decided to take a break from the game when he suffered an accident in 2021. But even so, he tried to make a comeback into the sport in the Masters tournament in 2023. Nevertheless, he was forced to withdraw owing to a foot injury which reaggravated his plantar fasciitis.
But an update by Todd Lewis, a reporter at Golf Channel and NBC on his X handle (previously known as Twitter), brought nothing short of good news to the community. He hinted at how there is a “good chance” that the GOAT will be making a return to the game ahead of the TGL that is to start in January of 2024.
Moreover, Lewis also pointed out how the 47-year-old would “tee it up at the Hero World Challenge later this year.” The tournament would be hosted by the American professional and would see him return to Albany Bahamas on November 28.

It truly makes one curious as to why the anchor came out to declare the possible comeback of the golfer. Well, look no more as it was all due to a video of the GOAT hitting his shot on the course.

Tiger Woods’ recent update on the Pebble Beach
The update came as a response to the video of the 82X PGA Tour champ at the Hay. A video was uploaded on social media by TWLEGION, one of Tiger Woods’ fan pages. The video showcased the 47-year-old hitting a wedge on the par-3 course at Pebble Beach.
As updates of the Hall of Famer’s comeback hit the news, a lot of people raised their expectations for the golfer. Although such an instance occurred before the video was shared, Davis Love III had already expressed his desire to make the 15X major champ the captain of the USA Team during the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage.
