Greg Norman is a legendary golfer who has captured the hearts of fans worldwide with his outstanding achievements on and off the golf course. Norman’s reputation as a fierce competitor, innovator, and ambassador for the game of golf is unrivaled.

However, his competitive spirit has spoiled over to create the breakaway circuit of LIV Golf. The Aussie has been the talk of the town since the Invitational Series had its inaugural season last year. Many PGA Tour stars have been very vocal about their disdain towards the Saudi-backed circuit and mostly Norman’s presence there as the CEO.

Sometime in November last year, Rory McIlroy in an interview that for things to get sorted with the two factions, Greg needs to leave. According to him, there needs to be an adult in the room who is willing to put in an effort to mend the fences.

Greg Norman serves a delayed comeback

The shark has a response for McIlroy months after he advised him to resign from LIV Golf. In an interview with Golf.com, Norman revealed his true emotions about it. “All due respect to Rory, he doesn’t know anything about LIV.”

Moreover, he advised Rory to be mindful of his words. Because when it all comes to an end, he will be asked some difficult questions. “My advice to him is just sit back, take stock, watch what you say because in the end, there will be a situation where he’ll be asked a few questions that he may not want to be answering.

Norman might have wanted to get back at the reigning FedExCup champion for his remarks. But his comments backfired on him as the fans didn’t find it pleasing.

With this back and forth-between the two organizations, it does not seem that their rivalry will come to an end anytime soon. Moreover, the aggressive poaching LIV done just before the Mexico event must have burned a lot of bridges with the PGA Tour.
