A Supposedly Nasty Conversation Involving Paulina Gretzky and Jean Sims Once Ignited Altercation Between the ‘Bash Brothers’ Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka

Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka are known to be very close friends. The pair lives in South Florida and are often seen together, whether golf or outside the sport. Their friendship is so deep that they work out together and share the same interest in magazine covers and golf style. And it is no surprise that they both share the same fitness trainer. They are so close that they were often referred to as the “Bash Brothers.”

But this duo was caught up in trouble during the Ryder Cup of 2018. And this might come as a surprise, but DJ’s wife, Paulina Gretzky, and Koepka’s wife, Jena Sims, were also part of it. DJ married Gretzky in April 2022, whereas Koepka married Sims in June 2022. What could happen at Ryder Cup when these golf brothers had to be separated?

Johnson and Koepka appeared to be the perfect Ryder Cup duo in 2018. But the tables turned, and their friendship was in question. They played alternate-shot Foursomes in Paris against Henrik Stenson and Justin Rose and lost the match. But at the party, they did not just lose the game; they lost people’s respect too.

DJ and Koepka attended the after-party, and according to reports, the pair created chaos. The nastiness of the events that took place shocked people present at the party. If we consider every report, there was an ego clash between the duo, and somehow, the girlfriends, Sims and Gretzky, were the center of the incident. No one knows what exactly happened, but there was a much-heated argument that the duo “had to be separated” from each other to calm things down.

According to the reports from a French Newspaper, L’Équipe, the feud was solely over the Ryder Cup. Things were getting out of hand, therefore, American team captain, Jim Furyk had to step in as the moderator. He asked the duo to discuss this and sort things out before it affects the team, as the game should be the priority.

According to the reports from The Telegraph, the bash brothers “almost came to blows” with the wife of one of the players from Team Europe, who was present to witness everything.

In the next match, Koepka talked to reporters and denied any fight at the party. According to him, there was no fight between him and DJ. He did not understand why there were reports of a clash. He said, “He’s one of my best friends. I love the kid to death.” Koepka appeared bewildered as the duo talked on the phone following the party, and they were fine. So how was there a fight?
