Although a bad swing can harden the challenge, it is losing their club kits that is the most horrific scenario for a golfer. Be it I.K. Kim’s lost clubs in an orange bag in 2018 while going to San Diego, or Leona Maguire losing her bag in between check-in and takeoff at the Dublin Airport a week before the Amundi Evian Championship in Geneva, it has always been a ruckus.

Nonetheless, in most of the cases, the bag has been found and delivered by the eminent staff members. Like for the Maguire case, she had been contacted by staff at the Dublin Airport within an hour of the report and was reunited with her precious kit. Nelly Korda, while supposedly traveling to Pennsylvania for the upcoming Women’s major, encountered a similar person who was taking care of the club bags. This warmed her already humble heart.

Nelly Korda on landing at an airport, went to grab her bag from the tier belt. This was when she saw a man settling in all the other bags, as he waited for his luggage to arrive. But only this time, it was not an airport staff, but rather a stranger who probably was on the same flight as her!

She took to her official Instagram account and posted a video of the man on her story and wrote, “Seeing this man fix ALL the bags (while waiting for his own) on the carousel so they’re easily accessible for everyone warms my heart it’s the small things. So kind we all know how hard it is to get your bag when they’re stacked on each other.”

Nelly Korda has always been a rather humble player, and this is all the more reason why she is loved by the golf community. Be it appreciating her fellow players on the course or smiling past strangers, encounters with her are always wholesome.

Nelly Korda praises Hannah Green and Atthiya Thitikul on their performance

After the second round at the Mizuho Americas Open, as Atthaya Thitikul took the lead from So Mi Lee, Nelly Korda could not help but appreciate her form. According to the Rolex No. 1, her gameplay looked terrible after watching Thitikul. She said, ‘I played with Atthaya today, and my round felt like p**p compared to hers.”

She gave a pretty much similar statement after winning the championship on May 19, with a 1-under 71, defeating Hannah Green. As the game concluded, she humbly stated that she had not been at her best, but Green gave her a run for her money. “Didn’t play all that well,” she said. “I just told myself that even though I was 2-over [after my first few holes], I still had opportunities on the back nine to take the lead or battle with Hannah because she was playing solid golf,” said Korda.

Although she is currently one of the best players on the LPGA Tour and has broken several records this year, it is her generous attitude that connects the audience with her! What are your thoughts on Nelly Korda? Let us know in the comments section below!
