JoAnne Carner between Louise Suggs and Marilynn Smith. We’ve lost @LPGA founders Suggs & Smith but JoAnne still plays the game she loves. This week she matched her age (83) in both rounds she played in the U.S. Senior Women’s Open on difficult South Course of NCR Country Club. pic.twitter.com/0UnJ8l0zqa

The golfer was interviewed right after her game where she expressed her honest feelings. She said, “I get a lot of people talking to me as I play…I’m not very enthusiastic about it because I shot 83. But it’s nice to hear from them.” It looks like it was not such a big deal for Carner to shoot her age for two consecutive days. But her fans are definitely giving her a lot of respect.
