On Tuesday, at the press conference after the NW Arkansas Championship, players from Team America sat down for an interview. During the session, debutant Cheyenne Knight was asked questions about her matching, and memories from playing in past competitions and on tours, and she eloquently answered the questions.
In a question asked about Knight keeping her momentum going during and after the Solheim Cup, Walmart, and taking that to her upcoming event (The Ascendant LPGA) in her hometown, the golfer answered, “Yeah, people thought I was a little crazy to play Arkansas right after Solheim, but I love Arkansas and this tournament just because it’s close to home. I play well on these golf courses.”
The golfer furthered how the Solheim Cup rejuvenated her and that she had fun playing in a different environment. The player added, “…like finding the joy in all that…mentally kind of made me a little bit fresher for Arkansas.”
The golfer concluded her answer by saying, “I hope I can carry it into this week. Like my game feels in a pretty good spot, but it’s October. We have been going since February. So just kind of at the end, and hope I can carry that momentum into this week as well”, as compiled by Asap Sports.
Irrespective of Team America’s tie-score loss of the Solheim Cup trophy, players got a chance to show their charms on greens in full glory. Here’s how Cheyenne Knight played on Spanish soil.
