A tournament known for its fun format and unique pairings, the PNC Championship is returning to the fields next week. Thanks to its family-friendly format. Fans get to witness their favorite players joining hands with their kids and parents and see their impressive golfing skills.
Tiger Woods will play with his son, Charlie Woods. LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam will play with her son William McGee. The players with no children like Nelly Korda, and Justin Thomas will be playing with their parents. However, the list could see the addition of a few new names in the future.

Playing in the PNC Championship is not that hard for accomplished golfers. All they require is that they should have won a major championship or the Players Championship. Another point is that the partner they are playing with should not hold any playing status on a professional tour. With these criteria, some good names could play with their children in the coming years.
Rory McIlroy – With 4 majors already to his name Rory McIlroy will have no trouble in getting into the event as he is blessed with a baby girl with his wife Erica Stoll, a former PGA of America employee. Little 4-year-old Poppy always visits her father during tournaments to cheer on him. And many times, McIlroy has been spotted teaching his little one a golf lesson. So it wouldn’t be a surprise if, in the coming years, Poppy is seen sharing space on the greens with her father at the PNC Championship.
Brooks Koepka– Second is LIV Golfer Brooks Koepka who just has been blessed with a baby boy. Koepka welcomed a son, Crew Koepka with model wife Jena Sims in July. And though he is very young, Sims has taken Crew sometimes to Koepka’s course to support him. And with the constant updates that Sims shares on her Instagram, it looks like baby Koepka has already started getting multiple golf goodies. With so much golf around him, Crew could grow up with an interest in the sport, and if LIV Golfers are allowed to play at the PNC Championship by then the Koepka boys could be seen teaming up.

Jordan Spieth – This 13-time PGA Tour winner is blessed with two children. He welcomed his first child, son Sammy Spieth with his wife Annie Verret in 2021. Then this year just before the Ryder Cup, Annie gave birth to their second child, a daughter, Sophie. Maybe it’s too early to talk about Sophie’s golfing future but Spieth’s son Sammy has already helped him around on the golfing course during the Masters Tournament Par 3 Contest. So there might be a possibility that the father-son duo might grace the championship PNC together in the future.

Brian Harman – The phenomenal win of Harman at this year’s Open Championship has given him a lot of perks and one of them is becoming eligible to participate in the future PNC Championship. Harman and his wife Kelly Van Slyke are blessed with 3 children. Eldest is a daughter, Cooper, who was born in 2016, and two sons, Walter and Jack, born in 2019 and 2022. Within a few years, Harman could team up with his daughter for this competition. The young Harmans are also not new to the greens as they were also seen supporting their dad at the Augusta National Golf Course during the Masters Tournament Par 3 in 2022.

Justin Rose – Justin Rose has only one major win so far in 2013 at the US Open. Rose could also easily participate in the PNC with his two children. Rose and his wife Kate Phillips, a former international gymnast, share two children. A son, Leo, who was born in February 2009, and a daughter, Charlotte “Lottie” who was born in 2012. If Rose wants, then he would have no trouble in playing in this family-friendly tournament.
