Paige Spiranac opens up about her mistake

In one of her podcast episodes, Paige Spiranac invited Gavin dear, Chief Commercial Officer of Shot Scope, to her show, and they talked about the product where you can analyze your game with the help of data. While talking about the product, she realized she had never monitored her game. All she did was practice for hours, and she never understood what she was doing wrong.

Paige said that now she feels like it was a big mistake, not keeping track of data. She said, I never actually looked at any of my stats or any of my data, which, looking back now, was a huge mistake.”

Spiranac on how she felt like a “horrible player”

Further talking about her mistake, she said she was definitely like a field player. She used to practice shots because she was good at them and wanted to improve. But simultaneously, she lost so many shots that she could see now. Spiranac added it wasn’t because she was missing fairways or a lot of greens, only because she was not putting herself in good positions to attack pins.

She said, “I’m like, Oh, I’m horrible iron player“. According to her, she was hitting two fairways around, making her a horrible player.

Well, we can understand why she would say something like this. She missed the LPGA tournament in 2016. Paige could have been part of the LPGA tour if she had earned the card to play on the professional circuit. Like she mentioned in her podcast, if she knew where her shots were going and if she had the data, we would have had ourselves a professional golfer and not an ex-golfer.
