At the LIV Golf Team Championship in Miami, the captains of the eight remaining teams make their key selections for the semi-finals. This crucial decision could just determine a win or loss for them. This event, however, will have more than just golf on display; it will also have some good old regional brotherly tussles.

As the teams gear up to try and grab the big win on Sunday, two stand out: Torque GC and Stinger GC. And the reason is none other than heritwage playing a role in the face-off. On both sides of the tussle stand South African nationals!

When Stinger GC skipper Louis Oosthuizen, who happens to be a South African, was asked about being selected by Torque GC for the upcoming match, he displayed a humorous and confident demeanor. He mentioned that he wasn’t surprised by the choice.

Hilariously, he revealed that his rival team captain Joaquin Niemann happened to have a South African caddie, Gary Matthews, on their bags, and Oosthuizen hoped that the brotherly affiliation would lead Matthews to be the black sheep, helping the Stinger GC players out too.

The LIV star’s playful banter continued as he joked about calling in a favor from his countryman. Adding a fun and lighthearted element to their competition, he said, “So maybe his caddie can be a real South African tomorrow; give you a few wrong clubs there.”

Oosthuizen closed off by expressing his excitement about the match and reflecting on his team’s performance that day, emphasizing the enjoyment of the game and looking forward to facing Niemann and his team in the upcoming match.
