Bryson DeChambeau is one of the longest hitters in the world of golf. And the secret behind his spectacular long shots is not just his super strength. The golfer also believes in working on the science in the sport more than anything else. However, despite his amazing long shots, the golfer once struggled in keeping up with the pace of the game. And reacting to his slow play, a fellow player once called DeChambeau a ‘twit.’

Eddie Pepperell apologized to Bryson DeChambeau for calling him a twit

DeChambeau has a heart of gold. The golfer doesn’t have many friends in the golf world, but he sure has earned millions of fans for his game. But for some reason, DeChambeau has managed to get numerous critics both inside and outside the field. And one of them was English professional golf star, Eddie Pepperell.

There was a time when Pepperell took a shot at DeChambeau and called him a ‘twit’ for playing slow. However, DeChamebeau being the humble man he is didn’t give a strong public reaction to it. Rather, the golf “hulk” said that it was “not fair” and he would want to sort it out personally with Pepperell.

But DeChambeau’s loving fans were not very humble about it and took the matter into their own hands. After receiving ample criticism from the golf star’s fans, Pepperell finally apologized for his words and said“I just want to sincerely apologize to Bryson for being personal and referring to him as a ‘twit’… That was unnecessary and something I shouldn’t have said.” 

There was no response from DeChambeau to his fellow’s public apology. But assuming his nature and humble personality, DeChambeau wouldn’t keep any hate in his heart for long.

While DeChambeau was on a break from professional golf, he used that time to bulk up and added massive amounts of muscle to his body. When fans saw the golfer after his break, they immediately wanted to know about his diet.

On the other hand, Pepperell wanted to lose some inches and said that he did the opposite of what DeChambeau did with his diet. He said“I started it the week before Qatar, weirdly. It’s not the best diet for mathematics but it’s good for the waistline…I saw some photos, and the way I felt for a 28-, 29-year-old, I knew it wasn’t right.”

It was almost like he was trying to show DeChambeau down for what he looked like with all the muscle he had gained. But it had no effect on the golf great, who is one of the best players in the world of golf today.
