The 2023 Genesis Invitational saw a fantastic Saturday. Tiger Woods‘ great shots made his fans fall for him even more. Not just this, the golfers also paid tribute to former chief referee John Paramor after his demise on Friday morning. However, in between all this, a sound of ‘begging’ from Justin Thomas was loud and clear. The video is now viral, and fans cannot stop reacting to it.
The golf world reacted to ‘begging’ Justin Thomas
The official Twitter Handle of the PGA Tour shared a video of Justin Thomas swinging his clubs at the Riviera Golf Course. But it was not an ordinary video. After hitting his ball in the air, the two-time major championship winner talked to his ball. Everyone heard Thomas saying on the mic, “Go in. Why not? I’m begging.” We can listen to what golfers are thinking about their shots thanks to the mic initiative from CBS after Woods’ prank; this is another interesting thing.

The PGA Tour pointed out Thomas’ strategy and hilariously said, “@JustinThomas34 ALMOST called this ace @TheGenesisInv.” We know the 2017 FedEx Cup winner is full of life and gels up with everyone. So he took the joke sportingly and shared the video, saying, “Sometimes you just gotta beg a little bit…“

All the fans went berserk after the video was posted. The comment section was full of appreciation for the pro golfer. And the fans were giving good wishes. However, they also appreciated the ‘begging’ shot he took. It was a great one, even if the ball didn’t plan in the cup. One of his fans also said, “You the man! I am following you at the US Open and PGA. Go get off dude.” It shows that fans have faith in him; with all the support, this year might bring surprises for Thomas.
Who has the chance of winning the Genesis Invitational?
The Spanish golfer, Jon Rahm, is a step closer to victory. He went on to the final round at 15 under at Riviera Golf Club and took the sole lead. The Spaniard started the day one stroke behind the pro Max Homa. But eventually, he recorded one of the finest rounds of the day with his final score as a 6-under 65. However, the most interesting part was that Rahm’s driver was his most powerful weapon. Surprisingly, it wasn’t supporting him on Saturday. But the pro golfer still emerged victorious.
