A Distraught Elin Nordegren Did Not Give Up After Her Rough Split With Tiger Woods and Affirmed Her Belief in True Love

Tiger Woods has always spoken about his past relationships and his broken marriage bravely and boldly. However, his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren has rarely ever talked about the matter. Nonetheless, she discussed things in detail a few months after her split with Woods in an interview with People Magazine. She gave out details regarding her process of healing and whether she was ready to fall in love again or not.

Elin Nordegren discussed her divorce from Tiger Woods

Nordegren and Woods got married in 2004, but signed the divorce agreement soon in 2010. The ex-couple has two kids together, named Sam and Charlie.

Her divorce from Woods was a process no woman wants to go through. She needed some time to feel ready to date again. “It’s going to take time for me to start dating again,” she said. “It’s going to be just me and the kids for a little while. But I believe in love because I’ve seen it. I’ve been there.”

Nordegren never stopped believing in the idea of love. Although she was hurt by the people she loved the most, she knew things would be okay soon. Her ability to trust new people was shaken by the split. But she knew she had to move on in life someday.

Elin Nordegren discussed how she met Tiger Woods for the first time in her life. “We met through friends,” she said. “I wasn’t interested at first, ironically,” Nordegren mentioned that she always was a shy and private person, and had her own opinions about celebrities. “I got convinced that we were a lot alike and agreed to a date.” Nordegren continued.

She also spoke about how difficult it was to always be in the eyes of the fans. Since she was an introvert, she was initially not okay with receiving unwanted attention. It took time for the golfer’s ex-wife to get accustomed to his big lifestyle.

Woods and Nordegren are now good friends and have a good relationship with their kids. The two are currently trying their best to provide their kids with all the love and support they require. All they wish is a better life for their family.
