A Casual Ride in a Golf Cart Takes an Unfortunate Turn as Two Men Get Seriously Injured

An unfortunate event has struck the golf world recently, and it has saddened the whole world. According to reports, two men were playing golf on the greens at Hoakalei Country Club in Ewa Beach on a gorgeous day, where the LPGA Lotte Championship was getting wrapped up, when an awful incident took place. The golf cart overturned when the two drivers lost control while descending a steep slope.

The accident happened when their golf cart fell down 18 feet from a cliff. The accident severely injured both the golfers. The golf course staff immediately rushed to the scene.

The injured men were first attended to by the on-site paramedics. However, when the paramedics could not do much, resulting in the need of more help, they were eventually transported to the closest hospital.

Latest reports on the victims

An employee of Honolulu Emergency Medical Services estimated the incident’s time to be around 5:20 p.m. The two males were 36 and 25, respectively, according to reports. After treatment at the hospital, the 36-year-old man’s condition was stable. Unfortunately, reports were not good in case of the 26-year-old. The younger man is in a serious condition. However, no further information was available about the accident and about their current conditions.

The tragedy serves as a warning to always use caution and follow safety precautions when participating in sports, especially when negotiating challenging terrain.
