The pro golfer, Bryson DeChambeau, is known for his incredible physique. Before his 2020 return, he spent most of the time bulking himself up. As a result, he could hit balls farther and with much more force. Fans were going crazy over his new physique, but it had a downside, too. An unexpected incident in 2020 made everyone question the bulking-up technique of the eight times PGA tour winner.

Some have always counted his techniques as remarkable and some unnecessary. The golf scientist always focuses and ensures the club’s angles are correct before hitting the shot. He takes his sweet time, and once, that resulted in a “slow play” comment by Brooks Koepka. However, DeChambeau was set in his ways and worked on himself, emerging better. But his bulking up was the reason for the incident or not? Let’s find out.

How did Bryson DeChambeau do it?

During 2020, you must have heard of monstrous drives by the scientist golf, Bryson DeChambeau. He returned in June with a lightning-fast speed of hitting the balls at the PGA Tour. The former PGA player was on the 7th hole in the first round at TPC Harding Park. He smashed the drive very hard, resulting in his driver shaft breaking into two parts immediately. The US Open winner played only 340 yards, and the tee length was ridiculous. He aimed for the putting surface. After the swing, the golfer leaned on his club for the sake of balance while picking up his tee. But he was too much for his driver shaft, and 40 pounds pro golfer broke the club.

Fans could not believe their eyes, nor did DeChambeau. He started walking towards the fairway to prepare for his next shot and mumbled something. Thankfully, it was audible to the broadcasters and evidence of the disbelief. He said“That was weird. Swinging too hard.” With a laugh, he added that it was bound to break as the club was old and the pro golfer had been using them for years.
