Golf is ageless and has no bounds. This phrase fits correctly in the life of Gary Player. The World Golf Hall of Fame member, even at the age of 86, tries to enhance his golf game. The Dark Knight proved that he loves to improve his golf game through a recent Twitter post.

As the 2022 Masters draw closer, the golf fans wait to see the honorary starters hit the ceremonial opening tee shot. Moreover, the starters include the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and the Dark Night. Recently, the golf legend shared a video of himself prepping for the opening tee shot ceremony on Thursday in the first round at Augusta National Golf Club.

Gary Player shares astonishing numbers regarding his game

Gary recently made a tweet containing a mesmerizing video of hitting a driver with a beautiful message. But the highlight of the whole tweet was the numbers he could get and especially the mindblowing clubhead speed he achieved even at this age. Moreover, Player made the tweet through his official Twitter account on April 3rd. It is truly incredible to see Gary’s amount of writ and determination to better his golf game.

Gary uploaded a video of him practicing his driver with a statement. The statement said, Getting ready for Thursday morning at @TheMasters. I’ve been working hard to score below my age but I’ve been working even harder to keep my swing speed above my age. Pushing for 90mph. Here is the data for this shot.” 

The shot he hit had a club speed of 87.8, with an average of 86.3 mph, and a whopping ball speed of 129.9 with an average of 127.5 mph.

It is truly incredible to see the amount of work he puts in to enhance his game and how he wants to play. He is an inspiration for all.

When did Gary last win the Masters tournament?

The Dark Knight has won three times at Augusta National Golf Club. His first win came in 1961, his second win at the Masters in 1974, and his last triumph at the major championship event in 1978. Gary won the 1978 Masters with an overall score of 11-under-par. As a result, Player won the event with a one-shot lead on Sunday at Augusta. He carded a final round of eight-under-par, 64 to win the event.

His final round included three birdies and one bogey on the opening nine holes of his final round. As a result, Gary moved out in two-under-par, 34. He made six birdies on the back nine on route to registering a famous victory at the golf course and earning his third green jacket.
