What does Harrington think about the new OWGR system?
The former Ryder Cup captain recently gave his opinions about the new ranking system. According to Harrington, using the number of strokes gained is not the fairest way of deciding how much ranking points a player earns. In one of his tweets, he mentioned the criteria being used by the OWGR to decide on the number of points. He said, “SG ranking is what the stats guys use to rate players essentially for gambling…But from my “personal anecdotal experience” this can lead to a false narrative.”
