The PGA Tour Champions 2025 season kicked off nearly a month ago. The Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai was played at the Hualalai Golf Course in Hawaii. After 3 rounds of nail-biting action, Ernie Els captured the title with a two-stroke lead over the entire field. Now we move on to the next tournament.
The senior professional golfers are at the Royal Golf Dar Essalam in Rabat, Morocco, for their next challenge. The players are fighting at the Trophy Hassan II this weekend. But they are not only competing for title glory. Let’s see what else is at stake.

Best bets for the 2025 Trophy Hassan II
Coming off a hot win in January 2025, there is no question Ernie Els is one of the favorites to win. The Big East is no stranger to victories, with 7 Seniors Tour titles and 19 PGA Tour wins to his name. With Bernhard Langer not in the field, next in line to win would be Padraig Harrington.

Harrington is one of the most consistent PGA Tour Champions players at the moment. He has won 9 titles in the 3 years that he has been in the league. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if Harrington makes it 10 in Hawaii this weekend.
The defending champion, Ricardo Gonzalez is another candidate who is always a great bet to retain the title. Seeing how he dominated the field in the Trophy Hassan II tournament last year, he will definitely be a strong contender to win it for the 2nd time in a row.
Unfortunately, Stephen Ames is also not playing in the tournament this year. If he was then he, too, would have proven to be a threat to the entire field this weekend. Ames has proven how well he can play this event based on his performances in 2020 and 2023.
