LIV Golf is heading to Singapore! We’re already at the fourth tournament of the 2025 LIV Golf season. And the Saudi-based league has been action-packed so far. We have already seen a surprise first-time win for Adrian Meronk in the season-opening event in Riyadh. That was followed by an excellent performance from Joaquin Niemann in Australia. Lastly, Sergio Garcia dominated the field to lift the LIV Golf Hong Kong title.

And now, the players are preparing for LIV Golf Singapore. Interestingly, the tournament will be played in the Sentosa Golf Club. This is the same venue where the 2025 HSBC Women’s World Championship was played from February 27 to March 2, 2025. Having already seen Lydia Ko win a few days ago, whom will the Singaporean fans be rooting for in the upcoming LIV Golf event? Let’s take a look at the favorites of the tournament.

Joaquin Niemann

Joaquin Niemann has been in sublime form in the 2025 season of LIV Golf. In fact, the Chilean has been on a great run ever since the 2024 season began. Last year, he had already captured two wins as he finished second on the individual leaderboard for the season. He was the only one to compete with Jon Rahm for the top spot on the leaderboard. Fans are seeing glimpses of the same again as he has already won a LIV Golf event. Moreover, Niemann also had a T12 finish in Hong Kong to place himself fourth on the individual leaderboard so far. Joaquin Niemann is undoubtedly a favorite to win LIV Golf Singapore as he is looking to surpass the feat of Jon Rahm in 2024.

Brooks Koepka

Brooks Koepka will be coming into LIV Golf Singapore as the defending champion. That’s right, he won the tournament last year, fending off a double attack from Ripper GC pros; Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman. We might see something similar this year as well, as Koepka is also looking to better his position in the individual standings from 2024. However, the only obstacle he might face is probably his own lack of form. So far in 2025, Koepka has managed a T7 finish. His other performances are not even worth mentioning. Being in familiar waters at LIV Golf Singapore, the 34-year-old would be eager to turn his luck around and bag a title. Especially when Brooks Koepka is going around claiming that he is better than many top golfers like Scottie Scheffler & Co.

Jon Rahm

There will never be a tournament in which Jon Rahm won’t be a threat. All he needs is a place on the entry list. For a third year running, Rahm has been the top dog in any league he has played in. The Spanish swinger was the best player in the world on the PGA Tour in 2023. His first season at LIV Golf in 2024 proved to be quite fruitful as he ended at the top of the individual standings. And in 2025 as well, Rahm is placed second on the leaderboard despite not winning a single event. So far he has managed a T2 and 2 sixth place finishes. Hungry for more wins, it won’t come as a surprise if Jon Rahm picks up the LIV Golf Singapore title on March 16, 2025.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Brooks Koepka defend his title, or will his lack of form be his downfall?

Have an interesting take?

Talor Gooch

Before Brooks Koepka, there was Talor Gooch. The American was in the form of his life in the 2023 LIV Golf season. Yes, he did win LIV Golf Singapore after beating Sergio Garcia in the playoffs. But that was not his only win that season. Gooch managed a total of 3 wins in the 2023 season, topping the individual leaderboard when it all ended. He was the individual champion then and he will be looking to find the same form in 2025 as well. He may be 54th on the leaderboard at the moment, but with his experience in winning at Singapore, he is definitely the favorite to repeat the feat this year as well.

Sergio Garcia

Sergio Garcia was the last man to win a LIV Golf event in Hong Kong. And he is certainly one of the first men to make the list for a possible win in LIV Golf Singapore. The Spanish swing master annihilated his opponents to capture the Hong Kong title by 3 strokes. He also had a T6 finish back in Riyadh. Moreover, Garcia has a renewed passion for fulfilling one of his life’s goals. He wants to participate in the 2025 Ryder Cup. In fact, Garcia has also mentioned how he wants Luke Donald to notice his performance in LIV Golf. Especially after his win in Hong Kong, the Spaniard was hoping that Donald would pick him so that he could “help” Rory McIlroy and Co. retain the title. So we can see the best of Sergio Garcia this season as he wants to earn the trust of his Team Europe peers.
