The concerning weather brought in the ‘Preferred Lies’ rule, which fans disliked. As compared to the first two days, the weather on the third day will be better for the fans and golfer. The high temperature is expected to reach 62.6 degrees F, and the low will be 48.2 degrees F. However, the cloud covering the sky might affect the visibility. Even the wind flowing in the North can cause worry. Forecasters expect the wind to reach around 6.8 mph, with gusts up to 16 mph.

Following the final day, things will improve. The cloud cover will be 50% with comparatively pleasant temperatures. The high from the day would be 64.4, while the low is at 48 degrees F. Besides this, the practice of the third round with the winds will be useful in the final round. A similar speed of the wind will be observed throughout the final day. Gusts are estimated at 16 mph, whereas the wind will be approximately 6 mph.

Despite that, the hopes are getting stronger for the comeback of world No.1, Scottie Scheffler after two not-expected finishes at AT&T Pebble Beach (T9) and Phoenix Open (T25). However, it seems that the golfer has found his rhythm and is getting back on the victory run similar to last year. The American professional is currently positioned at second with under par 7. Above him, Davis Thompson is still backing up his lead with under par 8. The 25-year-old was placed second after the first round, but with a great finish in the second has managed to have a stroke lead against Scheffler.

Other than the two, fans are vouching for the World No.3, Rory McIlroy. The golfer has been showcasing a great feat with the game since the beginning of 2025. Earlier, he finished T4 at the season’s first Dubai Desert Classic. While at the first PGA Tour for him, i.e., the AT&T Pebble Beach, he recorded a substantial victory. Now, with his second appearance, he is showing strong signs with his T4 position after two rounds.
