With an increased prize pot in the eighth edition this year, the Mauritius swing with the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open will tee off from December 19-22, 2024. With over 150 players competing for a whopping prize pot of $1.5 million, they will secure 3,000 points for the Race to Dubai. The player with the most Race to Dubai points will also get $200,000.
With some of the prominent names teeing off at Mont Choisy Golf Club, it will be a pure delight for the fans to watch. Antoine Rozner, the top pick for the fans, will be sharing the field with the former LIV golfer Kieran Vincent, who is debuting this year. Though there are a few names missing out for this year’s event, with fresh additions, the competition will be intense to see who takes the eighth edition victory.

Johannes Veerman tops the leaderboard with 665 points. However, he will not be participating in the Mauritius Open, which opens a door for other players. This is the second edition of the course. With the previous winner on the field this season too, Antoine Rozner will be the top pick to see if he can continue his victory run at the same course after one year. Along with him, the combination of 72 players from the DP World Tour, 72 players from the Sunshine Tour, and 12 invitationals will be featuring the event and looking forward to the $1.5 million purse.
Format and ticket price for the tournament
The 72-hole stroke play event will be played for 4 days, 18 holes each day. With 156 professionals featuring at the event. Players will use three balls for the first two days and two balls for the last two days after the cut. To witness the action live in the course, people under the age of 18 can attend for free.

However, the ticket prices for the event are very minimal for people over 18 years. The cost for the first two days is $13, while for the last two days, it is $21.47. Other than this, fans can even opt for a weekly ticket, which is $43. Besides the basic tickets, VIP passes are also available for the event. The prices are $215 and $322 for the first two and last two days, respectively. Weekly VIP pass rates are $859 for all days’ access.
