Will Hana Wakimoto hold her nerve, or will Jin Young Ko snatch victory from her grasp?

The 2024 TOTO Japan Classic has been the platform for some of the best in LPGA to showcase their strokeplay. Hana Wakimoto, Ariya Jutanugarn, and Yealimi Noh have been going back and forth to gain the tournament’s upper hand. Tournament favorites Rio Takeda and Saiki Fujita are also closing in as they look to win a title on home soil.

Unfortunately, all the excitement died down in round 3 of the event. The Seta Golf Course saw the entire day 3 washed out due to thunderstorms. But that’s not the end of the tournament as there is still plenty of action left on the fourth day. That is if the rain does not play as a spoilsport again. So let’s take a look at the weather report for Sunday.

The 2024 TOTO Japan Classic has seen only two full days of play so far. But they were uninterrupted action-packed rounds of golf. Despite round 3 being washed off, fans are still anticipating the same level of excellence on day 4.

As per the information provided on AccuWeather, it seems that round 4 of the tournament might also be plagued with rain. However, the report states that precipitation will only be periodic during the morning hours. In fact, as per the reports, it will only last for about an hour. Moreover, it will also be accompanied by a breeze.

A washed-out penultimate day may have deterred pros who are quite a few strokes away from the top. But the title is still up for grabs for those who are lurking around Wakimoto’s -13 score. This includes the likes of Jutanugarn, Noh, Takeda, Fujita, and world no. 9, Jin Young Ko. Ko is only 4 strokes away from the top of the table. Moreover, the South Korean has the experience of closing in on such leads to capture the title in the final round. She has done it on 15 separate occasions in other LPGA events.

If we do get to witness the full 18 holes of play tomorrow, whom do you expect to achieve the glory tomorrow? Will you be placing your bets on the leaderboard topper Hana Wakimoto or someone else? Let us know in the comments section.
