Another senior pro that Singh will be aware of is Steven Alker. Alker is tied with Caron at T2 and is looking to grab his 9th PGA Tour Champions win this time around. With an abundance of experience on the podium, Alker is no stranger to victory and is one of the biggest threats to Singh’s top spot.
The next most imposing danger that Singh might be aware of comes from Miguel Angel Jiménez. The 60-year-old has had 13 PGA Tour Champions wins throughout his career. He will surely be eager to claim Vijay Singh’s spot and bag another victory in his career with the 2024 Simmons Bank Championship.
While he sits at T28, one cannot underestimate Ernie Els. A legend in golf, Els is capable of covering the 7-stroke difference within a round. Vijay Singh should definitely keep an eye on Els to ensure that the latter doesn’t creep up on him on the leaderboard.
