The DP World Tour will soon conclude the ‘Back 9’ of its schedule and head towards the two-event playoff to end the 2024 season. For that, the top players in the European League are teeing up at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Icheon to take home the crucial points and a part of the million-dollar prize purse.
The ultimate event on ‘Back 9’, the Genesis Invitational offers the second largest prize purse since the flagship event, the BMW Championship ended. It has $4 million up for grabs for the 68 golfers playing the weekends after making the cut. From this purse, the winner will take a check of $680,000 from the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea. Whereas the runner-up will receive $440,00.
Although the winner’s payout is hefty, in comparison to the PGA Tour’s ZOZO Championship, where the total prize money is $8.5 and the winner gets $1.53 million, the Genesis Championship purse doesn’t make it the largest for the week. Other than this, the winner will also receive 5,000 Race to Dubai points.
