Season-ending tournaments always hit differently. After 30 events, the final week of the 2024 Ladies European Tour (LET) season is finally here. This time, the Tour is heading to Málaga, Spain, and more specifically, to the stunning Costa del Sol. Teeing up at a similar field as last year’s, the LET’s season-ending event, the Andalucia Open de España, is presented by Oysho.

Kicked off on November 28, this event will wrap up with its fourth round on December 1 at the Real Club Guadalhorce Golf in Málaga. Interestingly, this 72-hole tournament has no cut, giving every player a full shot at the title. But the big question is what perks this event holds for its participants. Well, the answer to that is its whopping purse of €700,000, which is roughly $7.4 million.

This week, the field features the top-ranked players from the 2024 LET Order of Merit, along with 11 special invites, including three amateurs. Among them are three Spanish amateurs—Andrea Revuelta, Paula Martin, and Carla Bernat—each competing for the Celia Barquín Award. But the stakes don’t stop there.

For the top 10 players on the LET Order of Merit, the reward is a spot in the LPGA Q-Series Final Stage. On top of that, there’s the battle for the top 70 in the Order of Merit, which secures full playing rights for the 2025 season. And to make things even more exciting, last year’s champion, Aditi Ashok, is back to defend her title.

Who is playing in the season-ending LET Tournament?

What’s your perspective on:

Can Aditi Ashok defend her title, or will a new champion emerge at Costa del Sol?

The field consists of the top 64 players from the 2024 LET Order of Merit, all aiming for the prestigious Celia Barquin Award. With fierce competition on the line, the thrill is guaranteed for sure for both players and fans alike.

While the defending champion Ashok is back on course, she isn’t the only winner from the previous years’ tournaments. The field also includes Caroline Hedwall, who took home the trophy in 2022, and Carlota Ciganda, who won in 2021 and is now aiming for a second Spanish Open title. Another formidable winner joining the mix is Dutch star Anne Van Dam, who won the title twice in 2018 and 2019. These past winners will be joined by fellow LET winners Carmen Alonso, Maria Hernandez, Marta Martin, Lee-Anne Pace, and Ana Peláez Trivino, a Málaga native who will no doubt have the home crowd cheering her on.

Impressed already? Wait, there is something more for the fans. Two LET winners are making their 250th LET appearance this week with England’s Liz Young and South Africa’s Pace.
