Arizona is having a great time this season. The Super Bowl 2023 between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles is on. But that is not just it. A few miles from the Super Bowl, one of the most significant golf events is at the TPC Scottsdale. The Waste Management Phoenix Open is considered one of the most hyped events on the PGA Tour. And fans are excited as they go to support their favorite golfers as colossal prize money is on the line.

However, when it comes to the WM Phoenix open, we know what golfers must expect from the event. It is one of the wildest events where the noisy crowd is not frowned upon; instead, they are encouraged. Making a bad hole will result in booing, and loud applause will follow a perfect putt and hooting. Especially on the 16th hole, if a golfer messes up, he will have to listen to the disappointed spectators. Last year, the event saw unexpected things. Harry Higgs and Joel Dahmen became the talk of the town as they showed too much skin after holing putts in the 16th green.

What is the Waste Management Phoenix Open?

When LIV Golf entered the picture last year, the golf world hit a few bumps. The fans were furious, and the Saudi-backed circuit did not receive any support. However, things changed, and eventually, many golfers left the PGA Tour and joined LIV. Therefore, Monahan came up with a solution. He created 13 designated events with bigger prize money so the golfers are enticed by the rival tour. The golfers on tour will compete against each other and will take home an enormous paycheck. And WM Phoenix Open is one of those events.
